Pop Up Opera
(Preview)
A friend asked me if I frightened everyone away from the steps. I answered by telling him that I yelled "Who would like a free night out with Pauline Hanson?" Anyway, this is one of a series of shots I took of various aspects of the iconic Sydney Opera House just for something a bit different. ...

Anhinga or Cormorant?
(Preview)
Anhingas and Cormorants are very similar but this beauty I photographed on the Man O War Steps near Sydney Opera House is an Anhinga, also known as an Australasian Darter. Unlike most seabirds, their feathers are not waterproof, so they spread their wings and hang them out to dry. Aren't they spectac...

100k images from all over Oz
(Preview)
Sharing and storing large amounts of photos. The photo sharing ability of the Grey Nomad web site is rather slow and cumbersome. It would be better if you just posted a link to a photo sharing web site like say, Flickr, I personally use Picasa Web Albums and have been doing so for the last 6 years. But if...

Nth Qld Crocodiles
(Preview)
Some photos of five different sal****er crocodiles on 2kms of the lower reaches of the Mulgrave River in Nth Qld (River is Freswater here but not far from Brackish/Salt). As long as people heed the signs erected there should not be any incidents, but there have been some seen close or in these waters.!...

Not a holiday snap
(Preview)
This is 2 pictures taken from the same angle from my front deck. The land slopes downhill for about 2km before gradually going up again, so the water must have been about 4km wide at that point. Not a scene I want to be able to photograph again, but offering my home to family whose place went under prompted...
