For anyone that doesn't know the area Cleaverville is approximately 35 - 40km north of Karratha with the last 13km good gravel road. It is a council camp with caretaker charging $7 per night, $45 per 7 day week & (I think) $150 per month. There is a large central area (where the caretaker resides) bu...

That's a Grass Tree
(Preview)
How's this for a Grass Tree. Started life as a dual head in a 14 inch pot 13 years back. No special treatment unless you call neglect special. There are now 10 heads, that will make Tassie green with envy -- Edited by Wombat 280 on Friday 7th of June 2013 06:52:00 PM

Mt Warning National park near the top
(Preview)
Took this shot from my phone and not until I looked on the computer was it noticable that a water frop was on the end of the long leafs of the giant lily. Taken in November 2012. The walk to the top was about two hours and it was cloudy and rainy at the top. The view was obscured but breathtaking.

Every thing and every one needs rules, so let's keep it simple. winners who become arbitrators have to be available to compete at minimum 4 times a day, max of 4 hours. That way people will keep interest and the fun will flow. If you cannot participate within 4 hours, keep your comments to other than winn...

Things that go rustle in the night
(Preview)
Hi everyone. I am enjoying the pics shared here. Thought I would share one from a recent trip to Lake Somerset in SEQ. The possums seemed to like the cracked-pepper flavoured Jatz. That'll teach us to leave them in the open over night.

Show me yours.! Earlier this year we took the van to Canberra to see the Renaissance art exhibition. Wow! Some of the art we saw in country towns on the way was sensational. Here are some samples and I would be delighted if you add yours for all of us to enjoy. (By the way - I have intentionally said nothing a...
