Speed Machine.

A couple of shots of the fastest bird on earth. They can dive on their prey at over 300kms per hour. The head on image was taken as a nesting pair swooped me. I had one coming for me & the other coming from behind me. An adrenalin filled moment for any wildlife photographer.

Gregory Downs Qld. Camped beside the river.

Earlier in the year we camped beside the Gregory River. A fantastic spot late in the "season" when it's not so crowded. We met some great people there also, and the locals came down for a swim most days. Can I take this opportunity to wish all on the Forum a very happy Christmas and happy travels in 2017...

We spent 3 weeks in the NT during September. We flew from Melbourne to Darwin, hired a vehicle & spent most of the time in Kakadu National Park, Adelaide River & Pine Creek. Here are a few of the bird images that we captured. We're now in North Central Victoria as part of a 7 week caravanning trip....
