I heard from a nomad a year ago that in Coober Pedy Sa is a place for $10.00 a night for a van with power and hot showers? It isn't a caravan park, but i think he said its a large block behind a house where this is, any info from anyone?

After touring FNQ until late July my wife and I are considering travelling from the Cairns area to Tennant Creek. We have a standard caravan and a 4x4, any suggestions on preferred routing and places to stay ( have to be dog friendly)?
