The City of Busselton has installed a new dump point to cater for the growing number of visitors to the region travelling in caravans and recreational vehicles.
This initiative was delivered by the City of Busselton in partnership with Tourism WA as part of the WA Caravan and Camping Action Plan which is funded by the State Governments Royalties for Regions Program.
The dump point, which is now fully operational, is located behind Churchill Park in Busselton adjacent to Kookaburra Caravan Park number 2.
City of Busselton Mayor said that the new facility will alleviate pressure on existing dump points located at caravan and holiday parks across the region.
The City places a high value on the caravan, RV and camper tourist trade and we want our region to be both accessible and attractive to visitors. This additional facility, which is free to use and centrally located, should draw travellers into town where they will hopefully make use of commercial services and facilities.
While the new dump point facility is free to use, its kept locked in order to ensure no dumping of contaminated refuse. To utilise the facility people need to telephone the City of Busselton on 9781 0444(all hours) to access the pin-code.
