To go or not to go?
(Preview)
We were planning on a 3 month trip leaving Ballarat early July, going up the center to Darwin, across to the Kimberley, down the west coast to south west wa then across the Nullabor back home. Electricity costs.
(Preview)
Hi all, if you are paying a high price for electricity have a look at GloBird. A smaller progressive company with great plans one of which. includes 4hrs of free electricity between 10 am and 2pm. Disclaimer. I have no connection to this company other than being a very satisfied customer.

Still have lots to do at our camp in Natimuk. Great facilities, plenty of room for caravans and lots of support from locals. Just a small camp in western Victoria but just as needy as the rest of Victoria. Volunteers very welcome

Another battery or a "quiet"generator
(

I've got a 240ah lithium battery in my camper trailer, I'm thinking of putting in another 240ah battery and upgrading the solar array from 250 watts to 600 watts. Or purchasing a generator/ inverter (around the $500 to$1000 mark). the generator will be the cheaper option, but my concern is the noise....

I have always carried 2 spare wheels on the back of my Kedron van. Each wheel weighs 40kg. I am thinking of just carrying one spare to reduce my travel weight by 40kg. I have travelled extensively on unsealed roads, Gibb, Tanami, Birdsville, Oodnadatta. Great Central, etc.. I have only ever suffered...

Can anyone recommend a good service centre to look at my Waeco 65l fridge, in Hobart, please? The centres linked on the dometic site are sales centres, not service agents. New driving tests for Greys

Just perusing the can of worms that is the newly introduced driving tests for Greys. Along with reduced benefits for Greys based on age by MBF and HCF, I see what I have read as "over the top" to say the least and aged discrimination at its most blatant. It would be interesting to see per capita, the numb...
