Fresh Veg freezing

Hey all, well after our last weekend trip away (this weekend just gone) we discovered our fresh veg was freezing. The fridge was on gas, and we turned the fridge right down to 2. Any tips on how we could keep our fresh stuff from freezing would be greatly appreciated
