is my solar panel working
(Preview)
A question for someone who understands such things. Due to an unfortunate accident one of our solar panels is twisted and scratched. I have a multi meter but am unsure how to test if the panel still works so any advice would be appreciated.

Filthy Free-camps

(Preview)
We arrived in Eucla this afternoon, (so glad to be back on the internet again!) We'd intended free-camping on the Eyre Highway, but we usually stop in roadside stops/free-camps for morning tea and lunch, and we found the ones we stopped at were filthy. There is all kinds of garbage lying around,...

Changed van - battery pack
(Preview)
Well I've gone and done it when I didn't plan to - spent the inheritance. I've traded in the Driftaway Little Robin Mini for a Coromal Compac which has more space for the doglets and I. It is a 2008 model and has an aircon built in and a battery pack. My query is about the battery pack. Where I bought it I w...

Towing and towball weights confusion
(Preview)
I am confused regarding tare, towball weight, atm etc. We are still in the process of selecting both van and tow vehicle.
Van number 1 is 2100kg tare and towball weight 190kg.
Van 2 is 2400kg tare and 210kg towball weight
Prado will tow 2500kg, and Pajero 3000kg (but over 2501kg ballweight is 180kg...

I contacted 5 Caravan manufacturers as suggested, and asked them what I asked the forum: Can anyone tell us why the backs of the seats have to be made up of 2 cushion rolls, (or more,) with one overhanging the other like the flab on a very obese persons gut? Also, why do the seats have a large roll along th...

(Preview)
Did a load of washing this morning then headed out for the day. When we got back in mid-afternoon and went to get the washing off the line, we found that all the shirts that had 3 pegs in them now only had 2 pegs. What sort of person steals someone elses pegs from off their washing?
