Anybody done this road towing a caravan, I have a 20 ft caravan being towed behind a ford ranger ? I'm not a speed freak, i don't mind taking my time enjoying the scenery, going around october eventually getting to mallacoota to do some fishing in my kayak and resting up. Pomme.

Can anyone tell me what this road is like. It goes from Bowen through Collinsville to Belyando Crossing. The Camps 7 book shows the last bit, over 50 ks is not sealed. But books can be wrong sometimes. Has anyone travelled it lately.

Can anyone advise the road conditions Windorah to Birdsville please. Travelling out to the Big Red Bash next week in Winnebago Esperance. Very excited!!

A fair bit of roadwork on the Newell Hwy, mainly just before Coonabarabran, where you can get held up for 5 to 10 minutes and then about 20 klms out of Moree where we spent 15 minutes in a major line waiting to get through. Otherwise the road is pretty good.

Road from Thargomindah, Eromanga, Windorah, Jundah, in and out of Stonehenge - all sealed now although just one lane much of the way but all good as very little traffic. Ignore the 'Dry weather only' sign on the southern Stonehenge road - needs updating as the road is now sealed all the way.

We are leaving from Adelaide's southern suburbs the ? is via Tailem Bend,Pinnaroo,Ouyen then onto the Sturt highway or head out to the northern suburbs then via Mildura or Broken Hill. Looking for advice re road conditions...

If you have done the main road then try Anthony Road. Turn off 13km N of Queenstown or 11km south of Tullah. Great sealed road past Lake Plimsoll, and cuts off about 25km

We're looking to travel to Lake Eyre while it still has water in it. Met a bloke recently who reckoned the Oodnadata track had been chewed up pretty badly following the rains they had up there. Does anyone have anymore up to date information on the track's condition? Regards Dave
