Anyone watch 4 Corners last night?
Was primarily about BHP fudging the numbers regarding their net zero targets. E.g. by building gigawatt solar and wind, running battery operated mine trucks and battery operated haulage trains. All to get off diesel.
BHP get $387 million from the govt in diesel rebates.
Guess what? Theyve effectively canned all three projects and estimated CO2 reductions by 2030 have gone from 22% to 1%.
Targets further out are either a myth or lies at best.
Oh, and Chris Bowen is assembling 100 highly paid staff (at our expense) to support his position on some BS blood sucking climate body.
Keep drinking the Koolaid guys.

Mining companies do the same as any business using diesel off road, claim a refund of the road levy added to get heavy vehicles to pay for road maintenance. Just a pity the money collected is just now "general revenue" rather than spent on roads.
It is not a tax but a return of a road toll prepaid being returned for fuel not used on public roads
Politicians have changed the terminology so they can collect more of your money.
