I dont understand people cheering on a country that is not our friend and will potentially be an active enemy.
Australia had very good reasons to ban Huawei.
One day when china turns off you EV remotely, good luck.
I was not "cheering" so much as acknowledging their ability to develop these technologies faster and better and cheaper than anyone else and that is a fact.
Like Japan did before them, that will get them the business, like that, or not.
Cheers,

This also provides the option of fitting smaller, lighter batteries which will in turn reduce the energy consumption per 100km.
Regarding the country of manufacture, the top 9 selling EVs in Australia (including 2 Teslas) were all made in China. #10 was made in South Korea.
Cheers,
Peter
I wonder if the charging stations would be able to manage a fast charge for this car, or would they need to be modified. I they do need to be upgraded, we could end up with public charging facilities which lag behind the progress of the EV capabilities.
Oops I just re-read Peter's post and see he's already mentioned the infrastructure catching up (I clicked on the link without fully reading the first post).
