Rare Earths

Just received an email from a company I have shares in.

Big takeover deal from a major U.S. Uranium and Rare Earths company.

Energy Fuels, Denver.

As a result of the recent meetings with the U.S. to supply Rare Earths.

Likely to be a boom in my local area now.

There has been a big rare earth field under development for many years locally, had issue with gaining funding.

That may well be solved now.

One would think the yanks won't mess around for too long feeding one or two billion (AUD) into local mine development?

Their President may annex it (or take it by force).

He may have been the driving force behind it with the Rare Earth meetings with our P.M. a few months ago.

A mate I tipped into these shares several years ago said something interesting yesterday.
With the U.S. investing so much locally they now have a vested interest in parts of Australia.
Reckon he is right, we are best aligned with the Yanks than anybody else.
Just wish they would be a little less aggressive in some respects.

The share price was up 119% yesterday and today has exceeded the Energy Fuel offer price, could keep going possibly.
Energy Fuel provide 24% of the U.S. uranium supply.

In speaking to the people had to sell out their farm to the original company after the rare earths, they said yesterday that the initial licence stated that the uranium content WAS NOT to be extracted.
That will be a test for the yanks - a very powerful company.

Of course, apart from mobile phones, computers etc, these rare earths also make the U.S. rocket heads that can dive down a chimney.
That, in time, probably makes the rare even rarer!!

Having said that, Rare Earths are found everywhere, it is the size of the deposit that is important.
Will be an interesting watch, also the local real estate markets when (another) frenzy hits.
