A massive shout out to the Union RV team based in Packenham, Vic, their vans are finding homes Australia wide and for good reason. We researched long and hard to find our perfect van, 'the van with the mostest', easy to tow, with quality well known brand components, loads of storage, excellent features and above all safety and value for money (check the standard inclusions) and throw in superb customer service and it has to be a winner by far. Best decision we ever made. Check out their RV Journal blog on the website, well written information to guide you in your purchase, towing capacities, etc. We did add an extra battery, upgraded the inverter from 2000 - 3000 and upgraded the suspension just in case, admittedly we will be unlikely to do the really hard stuff. After a very thorough and extensive handover we chose to spend the first few nights at Lang Lang Caravan Park not to far from Pakenham as a 'get to know' the van before heading home to Tas. The mandatory pre-vehicle inspection prior to registration came up trumps as did our professional weigh a few months later (once we had added everything we are likely to need on a longer venture). We have since had outings with a mix of off grid and caravan parks, the last tapping in to mains water. We are well covered in the cooking department, indoor/outdoor plus a few portable options. Fridges - yes both, an ensuite with separate toilet, washing machine and roomy shower with great pressure (gas instant hot water). Then there is the outdoor shower, dust reduction system, electric awning, a full annexe, more storage ....the list goes on. Do we recommend Union RV - 100% hands down, after sales communications have been awesome.
