Eye Injections


 

 

How do you guys go if you spend winter for say 3 months and require a jab every month. If they are more frequent this could become quite expensiv

Any advice gratefully received

My mum started out getting the injections every 2 months, then down to monthly, then 2 weeks, then weekly, luckily DVA paid for them, but it wasn't that issue that really was a problem, it was the pain from the injections, that made her bedridden for 24 hours after, eventually she had to give them up, and I am sorry to say she was pretty much  blind by then, she was 89yo by then and passed not long after. She was having the injections for 5 years before she eventually stopped. Her macular, was pretty severe though to start with.

OTM, Have you signed up with Medicare, so after you have spent $2000 you only pay 20% of the cost for eye injections and some other medical costs.
