Wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences with MPC 24 AT Terrain caravan tyres. After an unfortunate blowout incident last week with my caravans original 4 year old tyres I went to friendly JAX tyre dealer who recommended MPC tyres as a replacement. I duly bought them but a few days later was told by a near neighbour in a caravan park that they were not the best choice. Can anyone give me your thoughts good or bad? Thanks
Jax tyre dealers are pretty well informed, as have myself used them for many years to get my tyres, and was happy at the time for the qualified advice they gave me. If the person you spoke too was quite knowledgeable with tyres, then you could take their advice. I would give them( the tyres) a fair go, you never know they maybe better then you think.
Lotsa expurts in caravan parks, just listen, nod at the appropriate time, ask a few questions. Usually, the answer is that their cousins mum sat beside someone on the bus who was having a beer at the pub with someone who read about it. Australia has standards, some tires are better than others, but some that people have had bad experiences with tires that work differently on different vehicles.

Thanks Rgren2! You hit the nail on the head about caravan park know alls! Laughed for hours over your description of them! Ill see how the tyres run and will put a comment up if me neighbour was right! All good so far!
The important question about tyres is the load rating.
What is the load rating and pressure moulded into the side of the tyre and what is the actual load carried by each tyre?
Cheers,
Peter
I have always used LT (light truck) tyres. A car tyre does not have the same strength to tolerate the side twist when turning a tandem axle van / trailer
