We pick up our new Y62 patrol (2024)in a few days time and not sure if i should swap out the rear springs for the heavy duty standard height coil springs. We only have a small Jayco Outback (13.2 feet ),Two of us ,60 ltr fridge and not much else in the Patrol. Anyone have any suggestions.

Do you have the option to have the dealer change the springs for you or is this a later modification from a suspension company? If the latter, I doubt that you'll get anything for your new, almost new springs. What is the loaded ball weight of the caravan? If the springs are to be changed later, do a test drive with the standard springs - you may or may not need to do the upgrade.
I had two Patrol wagons that had coils on the back. On the GQ I changed the rear springs to a standard height set but ran into problems when I fitted a larger fuel tank as I needed extra clearance. I recall ARB fitted GU springs to the back.
The GU I bought second hand (again) - it already had a 2" lift kit on it. The only mod when we bought our current van was to fit HD airbags to the rear springs but kept the pressures low.
Possum may be of assistance as he has a Y62.

GDAY, I will put the van on the patrol when we get it and see how level it looks ,but i thought that heavy duty would help a little on bumpy tracks. I would like to keep the patrol as close to stock as possible
I tow with about 320Kg on Y62 towball - but the only load in the cabin is the child-bride and me, no worries. Actually I don't have towball, I use DO35 coupling.
