Hi Travellers Has any one had experience in changing a rear diff pinion seal on an Iveco, the quote from Iveco, was to say the very less " A faction Under the Bloody Nation Debt" .
So what was the quote?
If you are not competent to change it yourself, you will need to pay someone else to do it for you. Any competent mechanic can do it.
Cheers,
Peter
I,ve done a few in the past, the yoke nut has a very high torque to start with, some diffs have a collapsible spacer to set the pinion preload, you need a special tool that measures the force to rotate the yoke, this sets the pinion to crown wheel engagement, take it to a diff specialist, diffs are expensive to replace or rebuild.
