Where to Store a Campervan in Sydney

We are considering downsizing our home as I 'try' to retire in the next year or two.

Moving from a House where the van is parked in the driveway, to a Unit, where we have nowhere to park the van.

It kind of leaves us with two options.

  1. Sell the Van.
  2. Find somewhere to store it not too far away.

Street parking would not be an option, as we may move to a high rise with very limited (like zero) street parking.

Any ideas?

If we 'store' the van, it would ideally be within 10 kms of Parramatta NSW.  That way we can get regular access to it.

It's a 7m Sprinter Campervan (see Avatar)

Two things come to mind

  • look at private rentals - many people will rent out there car space
  • starage works et al have spaces large enough for large item i.e. boats, cars etc

You can store your campervan at a secure storage facility near Parramatta, NSW, which offers covered or outdoor parking for large vehicles. Look for places that provide 24/7 access and security. Some industrial areas or caravan parks might also have space for rent. You could even check with local businesses, like a vape store with extra parking space, as they sometimes lease out unused spots. Websites like Spacer or Parkhound can help find private parking options nearby.

Sell the 'other' car and drive the van instead. Bear in mind your vehicle requirements will reduce significantly when you retire.
That way you save money instead of spending extra and will use the van more often.
I used our F350 motorhome as a daily driver and to commute to work for 10 years before retiring.
Cheers,
Peter

Can't see a large van clearing height restrictions in underground parking.

Not sure of your requirements, but if you search around you will find private locations like this

Welcome to the Forum - I would be concerned with "Vape Stores" as there is a current tendency to be involved in fire bomb attacks. Check your insurance policy well before choosing this option.
