Update re Oz Star15ft Couples, semi offroad: Feedback from anyone who may have purchased one of these vans would be greatly appreciated. We did fly to Melbourne to see the 15 ft Couples Oz Star Caravan but the van was not fully compmeted i.e water tanks, solar etc not installed. We have been in discussion for some time, the vans are continually improved. I will move through the van as we saw it. On paper this van had everything we wanted, affordable. Finding another similar is difficult, our wish list maybe open to compmise but this van with all its inclusions became our benchmark. Website is out of date. Now upgraded with stoneguard and 3 toolboxes. Ensuite is surprisingly roomy however one of the 'upgrades' removed the handbasin to add more storage. There was considerable difficulty in pulling out the bed capsule, whether this was because the van was not level?? There is a 17ft van just released but no pricing was available. We have seen pics of the exterior and still waiting for the interior. Good storage, full oven, large fridge, king bed all bonuses, seemed to be a good quality memory type foam mattress in three sections. Outdoor kitchen was excellent, picnic table, outdoor shower, good awning all pluses. Good lighting, good amount of solar, each state adds different components .i.e shockers. The company owns AAA Trailers, based WA, builds the trailers for trucks etc has bought the factory in China so one would think not a small operation. As they are new to the caravan market the trailer business is basically propping up the caravan arm. Some of the silicone finishing is dodgy but assured it would be fixed. From what we can glean if you are in Perth, Adelaide or Brisbane you will be better able to see a fully completed van that are apparently well finished. Communication is difficult, I don't believe there are enough knowledgable staff to reassure a prospective purchaser. I know they are exhibiting at trade shows in WA. It is dissapointing as we do think there is huge potential here. Warranty at this stage is 12 months (working on this), repairs - well pot luck, we were advised to take it to a reputable business in our area and they would pick up the tab ......
