Whilst I agree with your views on the media, I have no time for inherited privelege, however they do create a lot of gossip which, in turn, sells a lot of newspapers.
Totally agree Jay & Dee, the "media" tend to swarm on celebrities like blow flies to a sausage left in the sun.
Their methodology of sensationalising insignificant minor events (fact or fiction), with total disregard to ethics or compassion, should not be allowed. But as Magnarc said "It sells newspapers".
In general, the law is there to provide some protection to all people (slander, liable, discrimination, etc.), but the cost of redress through the Courts isn't just money - the subsequent "Publicity" of such action just exacerbates the hurt.

As a royalist I think the this whole saga is of their own doing, that from the onset if they had been honest it would have avoided and the public would have supported them.
Just an opinion but I feel Kate is the problem, it started off the brothers and her were the 3 musketeers, and then become the fab 4, but who was responisible for the bust up, one can only speculate that Meg and Kate had their men by the proverbial short and curlies, as a result the Ginger and the Whinger left the firm.
I can only guess that Willy appears to be the hen pecked husband, everything is stage managed by Kate, I find my support wainimg because we have a dill for a king and the next in line is a carbon copy.
As for the media they just thrive and feed off the royal family, so if you lie or present a false narriative sure the media will go into a feeding frenzy and write article after article guessing whats going on untill the truth comes out, stage managing the event by Kate failed.
Oh and our reident dill came out and said she is brave comming out to speak about her condition, bugger me every day someone has to tell their family they are have cancer, give me a break Albo.
