Hi, I am looking for any advice regarding the use of Bluetooth Trackers for your van. Are these a good option to put in your van to track it in case it is stolen? I understand there are limitations regarding range and that someone with a compatible app on their phone must pass by your tracker in order for a report to be made. Thanks. MHJM
I have an iphone so i simply purchased some Apple Air Tags. If anyone with an iPhone passes within about 30 metres of the tags for my car, caravan, boat or cat then the location is shown on my phone. Obviously, it will not work in areas with no reception but they need to get there first.
With a bluetooth tracker they are for things that are within range of your phone. For things that are out of range then you are looking at GPS trackers.
Air tags and Apple devices are the go. I had them in my luggage for my trip to Norway and whenever I left my hotel room I got a message that I had left my luggage behind.
