May need some CHief Talk here too. At least we wont lose the bye this week, I hope.

Haha Craig, anything is possible with any form of football

Everyone is so so quiet
Bluebaggers make mince meat of the pussycats and no one says anything.
Baggers & Swannies could possibly be a grand final, fingers crossed

At least the storm beat the smelly fish from Qld

A bit of a chance the Dees could beat the Roos

Hi Graham, yep what you say is true, the cats were soundly beaten. Tis my humble opinion that Mr Scott and his assistants must now consider a rebuild of the team. Sadly, the glory days are over and we must now contemplate some time in the wilderness. It has happened to others many times over the years so nothing new there!

I can't see Tom Hawkins going on next year and Paddy is close to the end of his career. It's time to bite the bullet I reckon. If it is to be the Bluebaggers v Swans in the final, then GO CARLTON!!!!

Storm going ok,   Dees, wow, must have crawled backwards in the last quarter, but still got there and avoided the shame.

Whoops, must be gracious, Blue baggers did a great job on Cats as well.

I just backed a Carlton/Swans grand final at $5.60.
Watching them both in recent weeks, barring massive injury lists, they look to be the two standouts.
Tipped the round again last week but missed the last game margin for some $$$ by 2 points.
Look like tipping all games again this week but need Freo to win by 32 for a decent bonus in the big tipping comp.

In fact I just went in and had another go at $5.60, I don't think I will see that price again, thinking these two will kick away from the pack.
Maybe the Pies could upset the applecart but might hedge that in the future if it looks a threat.

Another week done and dusted. Storm had a feed of fish, leaving them sitting on top of the NRL while the Bombers added another victory on the side of the plane leaving them in third spot of the AFL. Well done teams.

Meanwhile over in the USofA my Atlanta Braves have won a few during the week and lost a few and only due to other teams in their division performing worse than them leaving them sitting second in their division. This time last year they were sitting on top of the competition and about 10 games ahead of their closest rival.

NRL State of Origin this week. Make game 2 a win Billy Boy. (Yeh, I know, but I can't change)

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Edit......Oooops, Bombers better than I thought, now third spot. Silly me.

Well done. If he works hard and listens to the big boys over there, he will be playing major league before he knows it. I wish him well. The Mariners are having a very good season so far. Don't tell anyone I said that though.

My late son played National Baseball in the ABL here in OZ and was selected to go over to the Milwaukee Brewers to play with them but sadly some druggy run him off the road and I lost him, just before going over. I only this year stopped being heavily involved in baseball and just watch now.

My brother will be jumping with joy tonight. His blues had a good win a sitting second on the ladder. He will eat tonight.

My Bombers bombed out and dropped to fourth. Bugger.

Storm in the other camp had a win and still sitting on top, just. Being closely chased by a big black cat.

Meanwhile over in the USofA my Atlanta Braves have won some and lost some again during the week but holding on to second spot in their division. Just. They really do need to return to last years form as time is running out.

The catters showed a glimpse of their old form on Sat night in the battle of the brothers. A prime example of the fact that the game is played in 4 quarters, not two.

The Dons dropped their bundle in the second half thus creating much happiness to us supporters!!

Commiserations Chief.

Go Storm, now a game clear on top.

Demons play 1 quarter in two weeks and could have stolen it Friday night. But alas the season has almost slipped away after yet again a goaless last quarter.

Where did that week go?

Craig, you should be a happy camper mate. Storm took a few stripes off the Tigers giving Storm a good win leaving them on the top run, while over in AFL land your Demons plucked many tail feathers from the Eagles giving the D's a very good victory. My bombers on Friday night dropped a bomb right on top of the Pies (YES!) leaving them flying away licking their wounds and the mighty Bombers in third spot. Sadly the Blue Bagers, Graham (Southern Cruizer) got stood on by the Giants, just, missing out on the win this week.

Meanwhile over in the USofA My Atlanta Braves are still performing, well, not being all that brave really, losing 4 and only winning 3 out of 7 games for the week. I think someone really needs to shake their tail feathers. I keep telling myself "It's only a game" but gee it hurts this year.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there all.

Yes Chief, finally beat The Eagles this year, if only had done it 1st time would have been well in top eight.

Storm keep producing, hope they go well in Sept.

Well the catters look as if the mojo has returned. Last night, whilst sipping on a double G&T, I witnessed the defeat of the Collywobblers. It always gives me great joy when they get done over. I wrote here sometime ago, that I thought that the cats should rebuild. Those words were eaten last night in a big way.

It took a lot of willpower to resist filling the glass again but I succeeded thus bringing words of approval from SWMBO

Storm going well also gives me great pleasure. All I want now is for the Maroons to kick butt in the final origin game.

Down goes another week and sadly so did my Bombers. Melbourne took the win from them in the AFL. I blame the umps! Over in NRL land, My Melbourne Storm has a Bye this round so no action there.

Meanwhile over in the USofA and a real sport, Baseball, My Atlanta Braves had a reasonable week, winning 5 and losing 2 out of 7 games. No pep talks needed this week.

I'm with you Magnarc, the boys from the land of Maroons for a series win in the NRL SOO.

The ladies get under way in the NRLW in a couple of weeks.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there, all.

That's not very nice Craig. As I said, "I blame the umps' The D's will be living on bread and dripping for a couple of weeks due to the money they paid the umps.

Morning Craig. Bloody footy! I'm nearly over it all. The coachboy said they still played well and learnt. Yeh! Don't lose! Might have to make a quick trip down to Bomber Land me thinks. I give you a blast from the Collie as I drive past mate.

Just waiting for the Baseball to get started over in Atlanta USofA. The game is delayed due to a very soggy playing area and might not get started It's so wet. Covers out over the in-field.

Mmmm first half against North Melb was ordinary but the Bluebaggers played a little better to win the game. Wish they wouldn't do that, got to keep the old heartbeat at a steady rate.

Craig great sadness abounds in this house. The Doggies gave us a football lesson and fully deserved their win. It would appear that Kardinia Park is no longer the fortress that it was.

Three G&Ts failed to improve my mood but did help me sleep that night. The Maroons defeat did not help either!!!!! The only bright spot was the thrashing of the Collywobblers.

Ah well, as Neddy once said "Such is life!"

Morning Craig and everyone.

Well, what a terrible week it has just been, sport wise anyway. I AFL land the Bombers had a disastrous result and got, well, done like a dinner. The D's only just missed out on a win and as for the Blue Baggers, well, they also missed out, bugga hey!

The only winner for you Craig and Me that I know off was in the NRL. Melbourne Storm had a good win leaving them sitting on top of the ladder still.

Now, meanwhile over in the USofA My Atlanta Braves have been very quiet indeed. To be fair though, the week before last was a very quiet week for all teams as no regular games due to a couple of specialty games involving the so called best of the best. The week just gone My Braves have really disgraced themselves. Why I hear you ask? Well, out of 5 games played they didn't win 1. Disgusting effort and I told them so. If I was on the selection board, I would be making some major changes and also be starting to look forward to next season players. My comments are our time here in OZ not theirs. They are a day behind so yesterday and early this morning are not included. Confused? Why should you be different to me biggrin

Keep Safe on the roads and out there everyone.

I think someone in the NRLW had better sign that Algerian female boxer quick smart.
An easy road to a premiership with such an great female athlete in their outfit.

The Dees were pipped at the post. The doggies went down. The Bombers crashed. The Hawks are flying high. The black and white striped mob are done for the season. (and doesn't that make you feel good) The Bluebaggers  are beset by injuries, and the best performing side in the last ten years marches on, albeit a bit dodgy at times!

Commiserations to Dougwe, Craig, and Southern Cruiser.

Tongue in cheek lads, tongue in cheek!!!!!!!
