Help from a refrigeration person please

Got two problems popped up at once:

1.  Engel been sitting idle for 6 months. Now won't cool. Has never been a problem -

sometimes 2 years idle - cools immediately upon start.

2. Home frige crisper freezing goods up. Doesnt matter what setting on the digital

controller.  Oh, and maybe a setting for wives?

Can't help with frosty wife - chocolate is usually a good solution to problems.

Home fridge may have frosted up (inside walls) - turn off for a couple of hours to allow any ice to melt.

Engels are normally bullet-proof check cord connection (12v and 240v).

Try 12v & 240v cables separately plugged in as the 240v plugged in overrides 12v plugged in. At least on my Waeco. It's probably the same set-up for the Engel.

Good news on the Engel side - shook it up and rolled it about some.

Suspected a bubble or drainage out of a critical pump or wHatever -
wonder of wonders - going now!!!

Big frige - I'm guessing at a failed Temp sensing device - I can see where
it is behind a grid - but treslikety leaves me cold so I'm going to
call the man Monday.

Bet you 2-bob that he finds that a motherboard or some other major
component is kaput1 We'll see.

G'day B,

Your Engel sounds like the old analogue tv's, a good bash on the top of a naughty tv and all's good.

Keep Safe out there.
