A simply amazing weather and fire site

Download the app WINDY free and be amazed at the infirmation available.

I find the fire layer most interesting. Every significant fire is shown in real time by satellite in real time.

Specially see where the poorer countries are virtually on fire continuously.

Track fires near you or where you intend to travel.

A great tip Brodie. I have been using Windy for a couple of years now via a browser on my PC. No need to install anything. But I had not noticed one of the layers is Fires.

Windy - Check it out here I am not sure what view you see by default becaise it displays whatever display options you last chose.

This snippet shows the fires in northern NSW with a background of wind direction and intensity. But seeing it in motion makes it come to life.

You can select numerous features ... temperature, rain and thunder, clouds at different levels, 10 day visual forecasts and much more for anywhere in the world. Zoom right in to see street names and all the houses with numbers like Google Maps. That is just the free, unregistered user version.
