Australia Day at Greens Lake

I recall when Greens Lake was populated with long staying Grey Nomads from Spring through to Autumn and the happy hours were fun times.

Australia Day campers were camped three deep along the foreshore and the boaties had a floating procession around the lake displaying Aussie flags.

Can't be any Grey Nomads there these days as no posts from the lake have been posted in a very long time.

No doubt a number have moved on to that Playground in Heaven.

Great memories of those times including happy hours and friendships.

Yes, it is sad for sure Dick0. I was just thinking of some of the great people l've met there while enjoying a nice glass of red the other day. Cheers everyone!

G'day Dick0 and Stretch,

Ahh yes, the memories! "Thankyou for the memories". I can feel a song coming on biggrin

Over the many years and much time spent at GreenS Lake, Corop I have mostly, great memories. Great times had, great happy hours and I mean hours and the best part really, was the great friendships formed and many of those lifelong.

OH! The things I learnt about traveling and being full time on the road. As a newbie when I first went to GreenS, I was very green around the gills I spose when it came to travel but thanks to some very knowledgeable people, I learnt heaps and still am learning really. I have also been lucky to have passed on some of that knowledge to other newbies along my journeys.

Thankyou GreenS Lake, Corop for everything.

Sadly, though, all good things come to an end and we all move on. I have called in a couple of times as I have zoomed past heading somewhere else but only to find a couple of unknown travelers or even no one. Even very little water one time.

How sad crycry

Keep Safe on the roads an out there.
