Cat Flu Vaccination Shortage Nationally

Just some information for those with cats, travelling or not.

I tried to arrange our feline household member for its annual cat flu immunisation. Not really soon apparently.

Two different veterinary clinics in my area state that there is shortage of cat flu vaccine (a websearch informs a worldwide shortage). Information is that vaccine may be available in the first quarter of 2024.

I have an intense dislike for cats travelling but most people that do have them do tend to look after them well I will admit - it's good to see someone that does the right thing and have moggie vaccinated.

Most of the travelling cats that I have seen are well harnessed and on leads of varying lengths and/or in a pen. If not, probably they would be gone. Cats don't react as well as dogs to recall.
I am thinking that probably travelling cats would have less interaction with other cats than a house living cat that might meet other neighbourhood cats or cats left in a cattery while the owners travelled. Our cat is not a traveller.
