invertor keeps turning on

Just installed an itech 120amp lithium battery and now my 2000 watt projector invertor keeps turning on !

I turned it off at remote then  main switch on invertor then back on in a case a restart was needed

But same thing happens again !

Anyone have any ideas ?

No appliances are connected to inverter when this happens

I contacted projector and still waiting for reply

Never had a problem before so bit confusing !

When you say the inverter keeps turning on, are you determining this from the remote display unit or from the main inverter itself?

As I read the manual the remote control unit can give you a display without the inverter actually operating, which suggests to me that the inverter has been wired in in 'Standby mode'. Perhaps this is it's default installation. If that is the case & you don't want it in standby mode all the time you may have to have a switch installed into it's power supply line from the battery.

However I also wonder whether, if you just switch off the remote display unit, whether this switches off the inverter.

The most likely possibility, is that the inverter is on & in standby mode whenever you switch it on by it's main switch. ;) If the main switch is inaccessible with the inverter installed & you don't want it using power in standby mode you will need to have a switch in the power supply line, & leave the 'inverter main switch' switched on all the time.

biggrin  summoned a priest  lol

Today all seems to be ok !!

i think perhaps it was just a case of management system rebooting itself whilst adjusting to lithium after running a few appliances with invertor

Turning off and on with remote i haven't had an issue fingers crossed anyway

After installing the new lithium battery it takes a few goes for system to adjust to new settings perhaps ?

I'm no expert thats why i post on this forum

Been a big help to me over the years

Thanks cuppa

I should mention a few things were happening after  battery install

Diesal heater control panel flashing even though worked ok

The fridge turned on by itself !  after starting motor invertor came back on ?

All these things stopped after turning all power off then back on again    reboot of sorts i guess !

If it's working, it's working.

Can't really explain it unless some mysterious thing to do with the battery's BMS.

A volt is a volt & an amp is an amp whatever type of battery it comes from.

I reckon Ric nailed it. :)
