Tyre information

On my local community Facebook group a post ab351128249_2840289209435705_4338497208857460014_n.jpgout road potholes ruining tyres was published.

To me it looks like a low profile tyre which would hardly survive crossing tramlines or a railway level crossing in Melbourne.

Can someone decipher the tyre specs and comment on it's suitability for the roads in Far North Queensland?

It has a ratio of 55 (175/55r15), could be worse at say 195/40r16.

As it is such a small wheel, 574mm diameter, it is a disaster going to happen.

Look up the car specs to see the smallest rim you can use to fit over brakes & the largest tyre size allowed for the vehicle. Then you will have as much sidewall height as possible.
