Will miss Koshi"s no-nonsense interview style, as well as his deep understanding and reporting of financial matters .
Will miss McGowen"s seemingly unrivalled ability to fool most of the people all of the time. And always with a straight face.
WRT Kosh .. I missed all of his 20 years with Sunrise or whatever. I have never watched even one of his sessions. So not missed by me.
McGowen is another matter .. Your views are not shared by West Australians, or me for that matter .. not by a long shot.
In his own seat where one would expect that people are closest to him and get a real feel for the man, his first preference vote in the most recent election was an astounding 82% and his winning margin was 37.7%. Libs 1st preference was a miserable 9.8%. This was on the back of a WA approval rating of 91% for his handling of the Covid Pandemic.
In the last election he decimated the right wing rabble winning 53 of 59 Lower house seats as well as obtaining a upper house margin.
West Australians would be applauding his astounding win for them in relation to GST returns to the State as well as his handling of Clive Palmers disgraceful lawsuit.
His performance is not just a flash in the pan but the performance over a significant period of a very good Politician who has made an excellent contribution to the good of WA & the Nation in general.
To dismiss him as out of hand as you do is disingenuous and does you no credit.

For a state with a Budget surplus, why is there ambulance ramping, hospitals in crisis, police numbers declining ???????????????????????

You hit the nail on the head Cupie, he is extremely popular over here and will be missed.

X2 Cupie. Spot on. As a usual State Liberal supporter and voter, I acknowledge the contribution Mark McGowan has made to Western Australia. I wish him and his family all best for the future and thank him for his time leading our great State.

As another West Aussie who usually falls on the Liberal side of politics, Mark McGowan has done an incredible job during his tenure as our Premier.
I haven't agreed with all of the decisions that his government has made, but in general he has been very good for WA, and quite frankly way better than Barnett the previous Premier.
Unfortunately I do not think that any of the prospective ministers that are lining up for his job fill me with enthusiasm. I think we are now in for the usual mundane bunch that seem to infest politics in this country.

Agree Greg 1, the Libs' also really have a challenge in front of them. The sad reality is, us, the voters, really would like a worthwhile opposition if not in government to at least sound credible as as opposition.
The first big change , in my opinion , is for the Libs to lose the old "school tie" syndrome when putting up candidates. They need gutsy candidates that are prepared to debate without "political correctness" as a barrier.
I live in hope.

You make a good point and if they're not willing to change, you are flogging a dead horse.
Draw me a picture of the wonderful things Mark Mc done in his 6 years !
Sure he was able to have a budget surplus, but you dont have to do too much in a resources rich state, um he acheived the total obliteration of useless liberal party.
What else did he do oh yeah the Perth Mint is a clearing house for crim's and sold a dodgery lot of gold to Singapore, he did a few things with elective surgery, ambulances and the health system, ah what did he do oh yeah he used his passion fingers on them. what about coppers they love him so much that their leaving.
There was something about him saving the state from big bad Clive.

GD, Lets face it, Although you are entitled to your opinion, you make it so bloody obvious of your political preference you can hardly give an unbiased opinion! I am not a WA but he must have done something right to be as popular as he has been, take a bex and lie down

Chin up
Basher
X2.
Border line childish GD. One would expect at your vintage that you could be a bit unbiased and acknowledge their
achievement no matter what side of the ledger. Libs got what they deserved through their sheer arrogance.
Then again not my job to judge as I don't hold a hose.
Àt the end of the day, Western Australians will decide who runs our state. No business of anyone not on our state electrol role. If your not on our electrol role,, get over it, and just be grateful for our GST contribution to the rest of you. And yes, our resources are a big factor, resource income that has been very well managed, unlike the financial "basket case" that exists in Victoria, for example.
Just be grateful for a change, all you critics of Mark McGowan.
Cheers.

I think the fact that we did not read about him or the government he led on a daily basis in media that was pro LNP is a fair indication he was doing a very good job.
Contrast that with the one just booted in NSW or the Man of Many Ministries and his rotten rabble and I think you will get the picture.
