Tip Turkey Sh*T

Our "loveable " native birds , IBIS, appear to graze on the battery acid from recycle area at our local tip, about 1.5km away. Somedays it must get too hot and heavy, so released at home.DSCN8250.JPGThe black goopey stuff.

Not as bad as Pelican crap though. All bird crap can do damage to paintwork in very short time - it needs to be washed off immediately.

i feel sorry for the poor Ibis. When I was a little bloke they used to inhabit the tidal flats and backwaters around our place on the mid north coast. As the white shoe brigade and developers turned these areas in to waterfront homes and villas, the Ibis had no where else to go but into suburbia.

We used to have school groups where we went down to the tidal flats and looked for nature at a distance. Now all the kids have to do is look out the front door as the natural habitat has been taken over.

Dunno D Max, it has done an excellent job of adapting, albeit it's leavings reflect this.
