Atlas 135ah lithium battery

Has anybody used this Atlas 135ah lithium battery and are they happy with it as it seems very cheap for what is advertised.

Appreciate any comments.

Cheers

Graz

I bought 3 of them a couple of weeks ago...2 for the van replacing a couple of 140 amp AGM's and one for the car replacing a 140 amp AGM running a fridge.

Can't add much at this stage, though one of them when I was initially charging them prior to fitting wouldn't go in to float as the other 2 did. I took that one back and got a replacement no drama...the replacement did the same thing...wouldn't go in to float. So I am still using it as the aux in the car running the fridge. Haven't had my issues so far.

I haven't been away with the van yet so no feedback...can't see any problems at all...it will only be in time whether I'll really know how good they are...

They don't seem to have a Spec sheet did you get something with your purchase HTR? I can't see how you could possibly be happy with your purchase considering that your replacement battery also won't go into float or am I missing something here?

I actually got all the specs I needed by researching a bit before I purchased. At the price I was far happier to take a punt with the batteries, I could have paid 3 times the money and still potentially have issues down the track. Nothing is perfect...the batteries are assembled in Australia, possibly the cells are Chinese who knows, but then the batteries at 3 times the price may well have Chinese made cells in them too.

As far as the float stage goes, no biggy as far as I am concerned...the voltage has been fine in mid 13's and holding. In the car it will never get to float stage anyway as current is being drawn by the fridge all the time, and charge is being added via the BCDC charger in the car when running. As the fridge is on when the car isn't running the battery just plays catch up when the car running again...

The 2 that went in to float on the bench are in the van as they will get fully charged when on shore power and likely drop in to a "float" situation...

Your money your choice, 12.1 kg for a 135 Ah lithium battery is extremely light, with that weight a quality lithium would be around 90 Ah.

After a bit more reading online it appears to be too good to be true and have read some very scathing things about this company and these batteries........I will give it a miss

 Hi Graz,

Do yo have any links to the reviews.  I have found them to be gold and so have a few friends.  The prices they quote for LiFePO4 are well within that price range especially if you know what the cost of cells are.

good luck

Kebbin there is very little lithium in a LiFePO4 battery and much of the weight depends on the electrolyte.  These batteries are getting lighter and lighter and with just a small BMS the weight is easily achieved.  I haven't looked to see if they have prismatic cells in them but you can easily take a look at the cell weights.

Prismatic cells..."the ATLAS 150AMP BMS SERIES. This tier-one prismatic cell lithium battery..." I'll report back if I encounter any problems...

Thank you Graz.

To be honest that surprised me as I have looked previously on that site.  16% negative feed back is not good to say the least but i and a couple of friends have never had issues.  The one issue with review sites is you get the company putting in false positives and and opposition putting in false negatives that why I generally like the video reviews by third parties.

Good luck

Thanks Tim Tim

I will keep looking and not totally write them off as per your positive comments......I realise there are reviews and there are reviews and not take everything as gospel.
Appreciate your feedback
