Tanami road

Has anyone done the Tanami road with an off-road hybrid van? If so, how did you go. Specifically looking for an Austrak Tanami 13x.

Did it many years ago with a standard Viscount van without issue. It can be very rough with large corrugations but speed and tyre pressures are key. I lower my tyre pressures all around to 25psi and travel slowly so as not to beat the rig to death. If you obey these simple rules you should be fine. You could get very lucky and strike it just after it's been graded.

Did it in 2013 with Patrol towing 13ft Jayco Discovery Pop-top semi off-road, - driving pretty slow but rotating dish in microwave bounced out of microwave door resulting in thousands of glass pieces - eventually got a new dish at Salvos.

It is doable in road van but corrugations will loosen all fittings.
