Tow hitch feedback

Hello to all Gray nomads, my first time posting, I would like some pros and cons on the Gen-y tow hitches, they are dear but what i have watched they are one of the best, we have a 2021 Dmax great car and setting it up for towing a 19 to 20ft dual axle caravan in the next couple of years, we have a 15ft hybrid single axle at the moment, getting a xbar tow bar fitted in the coming weeks, are the Gen-y hitches better for the single or dual axle vans, thank all feedback appreciated

G'day Brownie, The best hitch (IMHO) are the genuine DO-35/DO-45 best towbars are ALKO. I have just had both fitted at TJM, not the cheapest supplier, but they don't void Nissan new car warranties.

Alzheimers kicking in - Hayman Reese is tow hitch/bar from TJM - sorry for misleading you.

Welcome to the gang Brownie, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I would go for a Hayman Reese Tow Bar as they are good quality, and many fitted to all flavors of vehicles out here in the playground.

Also, and as well even, I do agree that the 'DO 35' is a good piece of equipment but as an option, a 'Mc Hitch' is also of good quality and many, many of them being used on all sorts of different sizes of vans or similar. I see heaps of both types and speak with many users of both, and they all are very happy with either. There is 1 or 2 on here that say the 'Mc Hitch' is not safe, but hey, there wouldn't be so many in use if that were the case.

If I can get up before 'Uncle Al' each day I'm fine, Possum, but if he gets up first, I'm a gonna for the day.
