Because I had noticed that our esteemed member, Possum3, had not posted for some time I decided to phone to check on him. Turns out that he has recently had quite a run of bad luck with a storm sending a "20 ton" tree crashing through the roof of the house he was living in, South of Sydney., destroying it. Unfortunately, another house that he owns in Sydney also suffered storm damage so he presently is living in his caravan and has no internet. Not getting much co-operation from his insurance company is causing him some angst, which we all have experienced, no doubt. Most importantly, he sounds happy and advises that he is fit and well, saying "The Possum is still in the tree" so he still has his sense of humour! In the course of our conversation Mike Harding's name came up, and Possum said that he knows where Mike is, and to say "Hello", so "Hello Mike". Cheers
Yobar - the words "Not getting much co-operation from his insurance company is causing him some angst, which we all have experienced, no doubt". Sorry to burst your little bubble, but I have never had any bad, unpleasant, unfair experience with any Insurer - I am often amazed why people, obviously like you, have this problem.

I have. I had my motorbike stolen in the mid 80s so I put a claim in to the big M/C insurer at that time. They knocked the claim back even though my policy document said it was covered. They said no and that they had accidentally sent me the wrong policy document at renewal. I showed my boss who happened to be the head of re-insurance in Australia so he rang the CEO of the insurer and told him he was holding the policy document which said I was covered. The claim was paid.

Thanks Kevin, for your support. If I got started I would be here for a long time telling of dealings with insurance companies, both my own and those of friends. "Mind boggling" would be a phrase I could use to describe some of the excuses these companies have given in an effort to avoid honouring their contracts. Cheers
I too have missed Possum's contributions. Hope that he can get everything sorted.
PS. Knightrider, please tell us what company you use so that we can all benefit from their largesse, also your last sentence was a totally unnecessary inclusion.

If you switch to the HTML composition window rather than Visual, you will see "color: #888888;" within the "span style" HTML tags. Just delete everything in between "<" and ">", including those two characters.

Thanks for the advice Dorian. Unfortunately it means little to me as I don't have any knowledge of the terminology you use, but at least I now can ask for help from someone who does know! Cheers
