Our thanks to everyone who offered advice on our trip in May re road conditions. We decided to go down the Clyde mountain from Canberra to Batemans Bay then back up Browns mountain from Bega to Canberra. All went well both ways and we feel that we did the trip the right way round with the Browns Mountain being a lot longer in steepness so were pleased to be climbing up it instead of going down! It was also an extremely windy day going from Bega to Canberra. Freezing cold in Canberra! But all in all our 5 week trip to Victoria, NSW and back home to Qld went well with no dramas, except for 2 new tyres on car as roads were full of pot holes in certain areas due to all the rain in recent months.
