Result of LNP under water frog decision

An eye watering 3.4 billion

Anyone who dismisses it as minor is a dope.

Great to see that you realise that your assertions are a joke! Given that Australia's GNP (look it up) was $1.321 TRILLION in 2020, the miserable $3.4 billion you're bleating about is around .25% (1/4%) of GNP. Chicken feed. Get a life.

Instead of spinning your GNP nonsense, divide the payout by the number of Australian families or households (about 10 million). That's the REAL cost.

This is supposed to be the joke section. The biggest joke: Malcolm Turnbull, the greatest Labor leader the Libs ever had. :)

As someone else said on here once or twice,

*Never Spoil a Good Story With the Truth.*

Sit down and hang onto your hats folks,

It was actually Albanese and his tribe of mismanagement cohorts that picked that sum and paid the money to the *froggies*

The other mob had not suggested what should be paid if anything in compensation but have made a statement that the 3.4 B paid was double what we had to pay.

In all truth there would have been some form of contract with some get out clause but our dim witted new govt paid a money amount in excess of what we may have been required to pay so as to make a,

POLITICAL MILE.

Nothing new with that even if he (Albanese) did spend monies we as a country could Ill afford to give to France.

Not dismissed at all oldbloke. I think it is one of the best or maybe worst.examples of gross mismanagement that they are capable of and they have only just finished counting the votes. disbelief

It has been just misquoted about who made the decision to pay that massive amount but well done, you have made a point.

See my post above.

I figure it's $136 for every man woman and child in AU. Certainly significant.

What annoys me most is all the ducking and weaving. And the one eyed supporters who can't or refuse to admit the LNP made a very bad decision.

Now Dutton wants to make political points. Making out it was all under control and "planned". Lol

www.abc.net.au/news/2022-06-10/anger-at-peter-dutton-disclosure-of-aukus-submarine-negotiations/101140372

And I understand LNP budgeted 5bn to get off the hook. But it was April the 1st. ;)

www.abc.net.au/news/2022-04-01/cancelled-french-submarine-program-cost-billions/100959082

The joke just gets funnier.

Looks more like the LNP was prepared to provide the condom as well as the lube, then bend over.

The initial contract would have contained severance clauses and damages provisions so we were always going to have to pay compensation for withdrawing. The contract was entered into with a French company and initiated in France meaning that any contract dispute or breach would be determined by a French court under their law. How do you think that would have gone for us. I think we that Albo cleaned up this mess in the only possible way.

It went untested so we will never really know.

At least one thing came from your input DMaxer, that the money was handed out Willy Nilly by the financial mismanagement cohorts that have displayed no respect from our financial position.

If our current Yes Man had contested the compensation and the success saved us $1billion then we would have been way in front.

That was not going to happen because Albo and his bunch of misfits could not wait to inform the news services of how he fixed the problem.

I suggest he fixed nothing without contesting the amount.

Weak as Pi$$ and this is the real reason why this is in the Jokes Sub Forum.

Every Government contract that I have had any dealing with or have ever seen not only had a severance and damages provision but also detailed the formula for determining the quantum payable. I dont know how that could be tested or litigated but then I dont drive a truck.
