Hahaha that is funny Yobarr.

Many years ago I worked in a workshop for a company that own a fleet of trucks. The owner had 13 or 14 road trains and a few singles etc.

There was a guy there who was a driver. He had been there for years and was coming up to retirement.

He bought a little pop top and he had a good Falcon Ute and he decked it all out and set off around Australia.

Withing about 4 or 5 weeks he was back home and we said to him,

We thought you were going around Aus.

He said,

I did.

We were al amazed

He explained he drove all day and night until he got tired then he would pull up in a parking bay and have a camp, get up the next day and do the same thing again.

This went on until he arrived back home.

Now that is a truckies holiday I recon.

Edit: I should add that he was single.

Pretty pointless exercise Ivan, I'm sure you'd agree? Probably better to have parked up at the first pub he found and invested all his petrol money in beer instead of wasting it? However, it is difficult to change your habits it you've regularly driven heavy vehicles over 1000km/day, as I did for a long time. Even now I drive the Roadtrain over 900km/day on a regular basis, so when I'm in the car I have to set myself an itinerary and consciously slow down, as it is so easy to miss many interesting things. Mind you, a while back I did take the car and van over 700kms on dirt roads in one day, but that was simply to ensure I reached Meekatharra before an expected downpour. Even the 79 has limitations. Great little van park at Meekatharra with Roadhouse and restaurant on site, while pub is only a short walk away. Cheers

Racing around Australia one would miss out on seeing so much.

We found that it's hard to do 200km in one day, not that we try to do that, because there are so many things to stop and see. However, when we had to be somewhere quickly we easily travelled 800 to 900 km in a day but I don't like to do that. We just miss out on seeing so many things.

DPF issue has not resulted in any recall, but this manufacturer had to recall over 100,000 of these Triton lightweights for attention. However, in the scheme of things,neither issue is of any real importance, but gives people like reporters, who seemingly can't get a real job, something to tell the sheep about. Cheers

So, where did this come from?. There is no attempt to provide a link to where it come from. Lots of claims but atm no proof it is legitimate. Who wrote it, who is the "author". My 15 year old grand son could type that up and post it.

For someone who claims to have an IQ of 160 I would expect better.

The screenshot above was posted on June 6th, and today is June 21 (shortest day of year, I'm told?) so it appears that some people have a disturbing inability to promptly process information? Anybody with an IQ above 27 would notice that in the first line of my post of June 6th I have stated that the screenshot came from elsewhere on the forum.

Cheers Bob, but as my amended post shows the info provided was actually found on this forum. If you care to search the internet, reference to this RBT and weighing exercise can be found in several places. Like you, I can only process what is written, whether that be on the internet or in a book. Who's to say Earth isn't flat? Like you, I've only read that it is round, but I have no reason to doubt that. Cheers

Stop posting ""stuff off t he net". Post info that can be substantiated. It's just a "rumours" nothing else. You do this all the time. I thought "Einstein" would know better. Mr IQ160.
