Hi, I have a sphere 6 channel receiver and when I turn the light on for the bathroom it comes on for one second then turns off.
I have changed the batteries in the light switches.
What could be my fix?
Thanks for your help
I had to look up what a Sphere 6 channel receiver was, so I have no direct knowledge of them. It appears to be a device where you hardwire up to 6 LED lights and control them with a remote. In your case you refer to a remote switch.
The symptom you describe suggests overload to me. The specs show only one channel sipporting 5 amps, and the others limited to 2 amps (although I see a conflict in the wording). So, do the other lights work fine? How many watts is the bathroom light? Have you tried disconnecting the wires at the fitting? Try temporarily attaching another light. Or how easy is it to connect it to a different port in the receiver. Specs show Pin#5 (Channel 2) should handle 5 amps.
I believe the most likely cause is the light drawing too much power or a fault in the wiring. Do you have a multimeter, or a way to read amperage?
Hi there, did you get this sorted as i am having the same issue, with all my lights in a motorhome. it does not matter which light i press to turn on, it only lasts for a second and switches off. Motorhome home is nearly 5 years old and i have never had this problem before. Be interested to see if you got yours sorted??
Do you have a Sphere device? Something similar? Have you confirmed that the house battery is being charged?
Sometimes electronic devices need a reboot. Have you disconnected power to it for a while?
If that does not do the trick, then I would follow the instructions in the manual for clearing the memory and then reprogramming it. Elliemike posted a lnk to the manual. Maybe there is further support available online for that producrt. Failing that, electronic devices do fail.
