The original 22" TV (NCE - ever heard of it!!!!!) that came with my Retreat caravan is the worst piece of electrical (you know what) I have ever seen. Can anyone recommend a good quality (even smart) 12volt TV for use in a 24' caravan. I have been told that the brackets are universal. I live in Perth WA.
Also, I have just had a Sat Dish (Sat King Pro Max) installed (so my wife can watch the Eagles play little league) and can get the usual Perth TV stations using it. Is there any way of increasing station availability and/or can you subscribe and then connect to Foxtell etc using this satellite dish?
I use my mobile phone to send You Tube and Netflix to my TV for free via cable but am always interested to learn about innovating ways to access TV etc.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Changing footy teams - yep probably a good idea.

Reason: Being an Android TV I can load something like KODI as an app and access a NAS directly over the LAN.
We do this with our 60" Sony Bravia, which is an Android TV. We run KODI and access our NAS with all the media directly including Music and Pictures, although KODI is not that great for Music or playlist organising. With existing playlists it is ok.
I am currently thinking about a second TV in the bedroom slide-out, and only an Android TV would do it for us since we do not watch any commercial TV, and if we watch SBS or ABC it is over the Internet. We do not even have a TV antenna, only a MiMo antenna for 4g/5g network.

Same here Aus -Kiwi . Added benefit is the sound quality . Never had any luck with the Android TV we prefer now to use a smart TV and an Android TV box .
Can you tell me the type of TV you purchased and if it is 12v or 240v or both. I need something with at least 2 HDMI ports as well. I also need something with a 105mm sized bracket or holes to suit on the back so I can attach it to my existing wall arm.
Cheers.

We bought a hisense
32 inch https://www.harveynorman.com.au/hisense-32-inch-a4g-hd-led-lcd-smart-tv.html
it is 240v only but i already have a renogy 1000 w inverter fitted so no issue there .
sound is brilliant without add any other speakers and at 32 inch you can actually see the thing , make watching a movie in the van actually enjoyable
the hisense has 100 x 200 hole spacing for the mount but you can buy an adaptor to suit for about $20 on ebay . i just used a couple strips of aluminium i had in the shed to make an adaptor .

Another opinion lol ....... we just have a cheap Polaroid 24 inch that's been going strong for a couple of years now. We also bought a separate Rechargeable/Bluetooth/3.5mm Jack Sound Bar for the telly for better sound quality and versatility.
The Sound Bar also has FM radio, and Micro SD Card/USB port for music, and can simply be taken outside around the campfire or the like if that rocks your boat.
Is it a Smart TV ? That is what I replaced mine with ! It is fitted in patio at home now . So I can watch / listen sports etc while still entertaining or working . Resting ?
I have a 30" 240v TCL Smart TV in the aluminium tent. When off grid I run it through a 300w Inverter and uses very little battery power. After setting it up, it connects to my WiFi automatically. I don't watch a lot of free to air telavish but watch Netflix or Stan. Even UTube. All via apps I set up. Cost around $150 on special 3 years ago.
Keep Safe out there.

Thanks everyone for your ideas. In the end I rejected 12 volt as I can easily run 240 volt and bought a 32" Smart TV which comes pre loaded with all the useful apps like YouTube, Netflix, Stan etc so I can easily hotspot to my phone and get the channels I want without the annoying HDMI cable that I used to get tangled up in when viewing in bed. I have unlimited data so that is not an issue. The Satellite Dish will provide access to commercial TV should I ever be so bored that I dare to watch it! So problem all solved.
