Check These Out

I found some really good videos on various road trips on You Tube. I find that most of the ones I have watched before all seem to revolve around some clown thinking he is a media star accompanied by the wife that talks through her nose and the kids named Therryn and Constance. These ones I have been watching are by a fellow called Laurie Kibblewhite, (should be selling bread) and the great thing about these videos is that they are all dash cams of the road he is travelling with just a little bit of commentary. There are no pan shops to his or his companion's face, just strictly the road in front with a bit of surrounding scenery.

One in particular is the road from Moss Vale to Nowra through the Kangaroo Valley on a wet day. Laurie baby is driving his 1999 Toyota LC towing a 30' LOA caravan. It shows all the hills and descents with just a bit of editing and a little bit of commentary. The one to Cameron Corner is also quite good.

Check them out, they are quite good.

Laurie has been a family friend on Jayne's side for many years, he started doing DVD's of his travels after he brought his LC and Van.

Don't think he made enough to pay for his fuel with the DVD's, so he has put them on Youtube as DMaxer has said, he also has a website.

Good, simple photography and real life driving, worth a look.

Cheers Bob

G'day BigD, Thanks for that info. I follow a couple of blogs and enjoy. I had a little gander at one of his and he was talking how he had no phone signal at the free camp but 500mts away had good signal. Poor phone signals have been a pet hate of mine for many moons. Why? Well, back in 1969 we spoke to a man on the moon but many 'moons' later can't speak to someone on a mobile phone just down the road.

Thanks for putting up the link for me Bobdown as i forgot. Like you Doug, I look at a couple but grow really tired of the ones that are just a self promotion for two yuppies and their self entitled children as they lecture the viewer on the obvious. They are all the same, dad walking towards the camera (held by mum) as he waves his hands about whilst speaking as an authority on all things caravanning. Mum then has a turn as the resident expert and the self entitled kids then join in with their spiel.
