Unsure of current conditions. A call to Diamantina Council is good advice. Sealed until Diamantina Developmental Road and Birdsville Developmental Road turn off then mostly unsealed to Bedourie, sealed north of Bedourie. Windorah CP, Barcoo council operated, is well worth a short stay. Roll up and pay when council staff appear

Off topic but don't forget a fly net for over your face.
Spoken from my personal experience.

2 weeks ago I called Diamantina Shire Council and they old me that there was only 34kms of unsealed road (Birdsville end) between Birdsville and Bedourie
Betoota (267kms from Windorah) on the Windorah - Birdsville road now has the pub operating and is attracting a lot of nomads 4 camp sites at Betoota

Safe travels
