questions: clothing optional/age as a factor/etc

Having introduced myself elsewhere, telling my story, I realized there were a couple questions left off... first, is it normal for old, mid-80s folks to be traveling alone? Is this age, if in good physical and mental (??) condition a limiting factor? Should it be? second, while not sure but interested, anyone have knowledge to share about clothing optional campsites anywhere along the Sunshine Coast, QLD and lastly, my plan is to start traveling a few days/or a week to 'test the waters' before really hitting the road. Any free advice will be welcome.

Clothing optional, is where we used to go to for relaxing fun at times, although have not done it for at least 10 years, due to the metallic one day wonders, having metal pieces attached to their various body parts, and flaunting that. But one place to get good info, would be wikicamps, over 800 members are into it, and they have a dedicated spot for it, in the forum. Also just google clothing optional in Qld, and you will find a lot of places up there. Their are also a fair few in NSW.

Yeah... Wikicamps is a wonderment. On the clothing optional topic, according to Wikicamps there ain't none in QLD! at least anywhere near the Sunshine Coast. Also no answers to my question about being old. Oh, for information sake, I did find one clothing optional site, altho it caters to the gay side of life so, I fear, not for me.
Thank you
stay healthy and happy

At 80 years young you can certainly get out and see a lot more of Australia! You can of course go to the clothing optional beaches and see a lot more as well. Age is in the mind and if your body allows it...get out and explore and have fun. When we hang up our cue we are in that pine box for a bloody long time. Cheers and happy travels.

At 80 years of age it might be advisable to keep your kit on to avoid giving people a nasty shock. biggrin

Unless you particularly enjoy displaying your ''dried arrangement''.

Sweet Billy,
I read in the other post that your home is Noosa. How long have you lived there? Doesn't matter.
I have not been there, so I cannot confirm, but I have heard that Alexandria Bay in Noosa National Park was an unofficial clothing optional beach. I don't know if that is the case now or not.

Though, are you after those type of campsites?

Yes, A Bay is as reported an unofficial nude beach... however, responding to all the others, has anyone tho't I added the question about clothing optional in order to garner more responses to my main question? That is about age. And even there I have to agree... my son-in-law tells me while I may have the high numbers, at heart I'm still just slightly past being a juvenile. Thank you one and all.........!

Billy, I won't comment on the clothing issue but I am 85 in August wife is 80. We have no intention of letting our age get in the way of our lifestyle while we can still walk. We have made the odd trips with friends but most of our jaunts have been on our own and we have never had any serious problems, been lucky with the health aspect I guess.

Get out there and enjoy it.

Being an octogenarian myself I can only support your intending travels. I will be doing the same myself later on in the year.
