Fuel consumption and towing in auto sports

Hi BT50 owners, can you tell me what fuel consumption you are getting towing around a 21ft van in auto sport mode. I have a 2019 BT50 auto pulling a 21ft van ave

rages 18  / 20 ltr per 100km.

HAPPY DAYS

Mark,

You may want to re-post in a different section of the forum to get more replies, however I can agree with your figures, (depending on terrain, speed and weather conditions).

I have a 2016 BT50 and with my old van (about 1700kgs) I used to get 15-17 ltr/100km. With my latest van (about 2200kgs) I get a return of about 17-20 ltr/100km, but that has been on four trips only. Last week, driving into a 35km/hr wind it was down to about 22-25 ltr/100km.

Anyone who tells you they get less that 15ltr/100km doing 100km/hr, driving uphill into a howling gale while towing 3 tonne has been sniffing something they shouldn't have.

Regards Robert.
