Tumut via Adaminaby to Cooma B72 NSW

Hi we are intending to drive this route (B72) from Tumut via Adaminaby to Cooma about within the next week (14-16 March). We have a Landcruiser 200 with a large caravan 22 foot weighing 3.2 tonne. I would appreciate some commentary on the road conditions. Is the road sealed the full distance?  What are the road widths like? Is the centre line marked? Are the bends really tight?

The alternative is to travel via Brindabella, south Canberra and Micelago which is longer distance.

Any thoughts and recommendations will be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance Keith

Hook in.

Large road transports use this road.

Sealed highway. The climb east bound with your LandCruiser will not bother it

Cenre lined marked and a few tight bends on the clmb east from Tumut.

Drive to conditions and enjoy.

It's part of the western end of the Snowy Mountains Highway. It is one of the states major thoroughfares. When you see the white centre line turn yellow you know you are in snow country.

If you are not familiar with mountainous country, just remember to slow down on descents and use as low as possible gear to descend the hill. If speed keeps building up, slow a bit more and use a lower gear.
