I have 2 x 140 amp "Giant Power" AGM's in my van. They are from Aussie Batteries & Solar...delivered to the door. Currently priced at $289.00.
Had them since November 2020 and have had no problems at all...a friend has got the same with no issues. Figured when they eventually fail the cost to replace is low...
I think you can find lithium's from $279 up if you do a Google search. Came across a 300amp Lithium for $399. Of course you need the correct 240 and Solar chargers. Me, I will stick with AGM's for the moment.
I run lanplus. 4/150ah in van and 1/150ah in car weight 40kg each.
Son just put 2/150 ah in car $702 delivered to door Victoria to Brisbane 2.5 days
Couldnt ask for faster than that.
www.batteryvalue.com.au/ 120Ah NPP AGM $270. I am using one of these as a crank to start the OKA. Cheers, Peter
We are running the some brand only 110 amp in the caravan and 110 amp as the second battery set up in the tow vehicle to run the 12 volt portable refrigerator.
Good value coming up 18 months and holding great charge.
This guy is selling batteries at good value price.
Agree. When you see a statement like that you wonder what else they may be telling porkies about.
However, lithiums have a couple of huge advantages over AGM. A 100AH Lithium battery has almost 100AH of usable power. A 100AH AGM battery doesn't, not day after day.
While you can still get good life from an AGM discharging below 50% you can't go as low as Lithium without sevely affecting its life. So, you can specify a smaller capacity lithium to satisfy the same routine demands. Equivalent to 3-4? Laughable. Not even double. But getting close if you consider available AH day after day.
The other advantage of lithium is weight reduction which all caravaners should be chasing.
