And they're well worth waiting for too! At $110,000 that'd be a bargain,as I believe some are getting up to $130,000? I'm not aware of any other mass-produced car that demands a second-hand price that is 30% greater than the new price, but if you took one into the bush,or want a twin-cab that will safely tow 3500kg,you'd understand.Nothing compares or competes.Cheers

I might wait a couple of years unless one comes with a lower $$$ figure

Hi John.Unfortunately for you,I think you could be waiting for more than a couple of years,as there is currently a 6 month waiting list to buy a new 79,hence the crazy prices being asked for near-new models. Might be best to just put your name down for a new one,and wait? Good luck.Cheers
Travelyounger, did the same a couple of weeks ago.
Looked up on Carsale what a 2013 GLX 200 series landCruiser was selling for.
Our has just clocked over 110,000km. The closest I got was one that had
done closer to 150,000km asking price was $79,000.
We paid $60,000 brand new in 2013.
I knew they kept their value but did not expect the price to go up.

I'd like to know where you got yours for $60,000 in 2013 as they were $80,000 + at that time.
$60 k may have been your change over price but there is no way that it was the full price.

Bunbury Toyota in Bunbury WA. March 2013. Ours is not a KDSS so a bit cheaper. I think
at the time they had incentives from companies such as RAC to promote new against pre-loved.

My 6 2014 GXL non KDSS was $84.000.00 in September 2014.
Worth every penny.
Second hand ones with 150000+ were around $70,000 at the time but I could not find what I would consider to be a good genuine vehicle so for the 3 year warranty and the trade in on 2nd hand was a lot less it was a no brainer to buy new.
No regrets with the price my vehicle would currently bring. $ 70,000 seems to be around the mark. 8 years ownership for $14,000 bucks. Not including servicing and accessories.

When I bought mine the dealer had maybe 4 or 5 second hand 200s on the lot and some of them were extremely high mileage.
I was trading two vehicles. A BT50 with under 100,000 k and a near new Hayundai SUV with very low mileage which was Angies car.
To buy any of the second hand 200s as opposed to buying the new one, my trade in prices combined were a lot less than the trade in price for the new car.
This was a great incentive to buy new. The price difference on trade in value all but equaled the difference in price between buying a second hand one off the lot and buying the new one.
All in all, it made the purchasing new very attractive.
