Remember when we all went to primary school and someone would start a game of Cowboys and Indians, well, that is what this forum is like when weights and WDHs are mentioned.

The call was, if I remember correctly, *Lets pick up sides* meaning pick wether you want to be a Cowboy or an Indian.


Yes it is childish that we then all play as a Cowboy or an Indian and keep shooting at each other until Mum comes along and takes us all inside.biggrin

In this topic the first arrow or gunshot was fired at the 18 th post. Go back and count and tell us all who the hell mentioned the virtues of a WDH in the GenY hitch topic. Until his post the only reference to a WDH was size until when he found a very learned member who apparently needed to be informed

I think it is a bit rich that AWL says this to a member on the third page when the entire topic has not been civil since the 18 th post.

Ivan, you referred to the possibility of the thread being locked. It was quite civil until some old rivalries were reactivated. Perhaps you and Yobarr could consider being a bit milder in your comments.

When we are all playing and we find that one or two players just never seem to run out of arrows, bullets or their horse just does not die then many of us dont enjoy playing any more.

I personally have given up arguing with those with opposite views to mine, that is my decision.

The players with the endless supply of ammo and the horse that wont die arent necessarily the winners as they are being judged by the silent majority who form their own opinions.

This will never change on this forum unless change is actually made.

The information on here will never be a resource.

Whooh !, the thread I put up had nothing to do with weights and measures, it was enquiring on what a "Gen Y Hitch" was, weights, WDH's etc. were brought on later by the few experts.

Hi Iana,

From the post #18 where it all started, where PeterD was unnecessarily challenged as to his knowledge of the pitfalls of the WDH by the expert.
Until this post, the only mention of the WDH was comparing it in size to the GenY hitch

So much misinformed and speculative misinformation shrouding the
conversation.

If you haven't studied the Anderson hitch you haven't done yourself any favours.

Only problem is that the dealers do their best to talk prospective purchasers
out of the Anderson - largely because of ignorance and inexperience with
that hitch.

I have found there to be many advantages with the Anderson - it's simplicity
is amazing - understanding it's technology is beyond many, but a good
tow with it on the vehicle will prove conclusive.

The H Reece is old and fat now.

 Would you kindly advise what "misinformed and speculative misinformation" actually is,and how it is "shrouding the conversation"? Never have I heard of misinformation being "misinformed and (or) speculative" but,as always,I am happy to learn.Cheers
