I do not own a home.

I rent in Sydney, and will be moving into a caravan full time around July this year.

I will be registering my address the same as my daughters. She lives in St Leonards in Victoria.

My tow vehicle will be purchased new in Sydney, so i will have to change that when the time comes.

The caravan is being built in Melbourne, so that will be registered with a Victorian address as well.

The Victorian address will be the prime address for all registrations, licences etc.

Any snail mail will be adressed there, and if anything needs opening she will be given permision to do that, and simply email me a copy of anything i need to handle personaly.

I've been a nomad for three years and use my son's home in Melbourne as a base address for those who insist upon one - Vic Roads and suchlike. It is important that you are happy for that homeowner to open your mail as they'll be something important you have forgotten. Nowadays most businesses and government are happy to do all via email.

If you are, literally, homeless you may apply to the Aus. Electoral Comm. to be classed as"itinerant" which relieves you of the requirement to vote although you may still do so if you wish. In these covid times that can also be useful in proving you are actually homeless. On that note: I retain all my shopping receipts in order to prove where I have been for the past few months.

PS. It is fun when some official or such asks "And what is your address?" - to which I gleefully reply "I don't have one". The look of utter confusion on their face is childishly pleasing. "But... but... but the computer needs an address...."
