Coleman 75l car fridge

My car fridge has decided it wont run on 12v, it runs ok on 240v. The voltage at the plug is ok, the fuse appears to be ok, it has continuity between the ends. Simple test is ute running both 12v and 240v plugs connected, disconnect the 240v and the display goes blank, appears not to change over to 12v. Any suggestions to solve the problem.

If his fridge is a latish model & runs on 240V & 12V, then it will have this type of control unit. Those terminals are the 12V feed in. Ones above are for 240V AC. Diagnosing a fault on a Forum depends a lot on how mutch information is actualy suplied & how far they are prepared to go.

Wasn't there and issue not long past with this same thing posted? with the same type of voltage regulator? My fridge come with 12/24 volt input and a transformer that reduces the 240 down to 12V seem to me that I would much prefer this type of system as a laptop 240V power supply is far easier to source than one of these control boxes.

Yes there was & it turnd out to be a poor conection on the 12V side. Unless the original poster supplys more information, then its just pointless speculation.

DeBe is the guru on this
I had same problem recently I made up a test power cord using spade bit female ends. using cigarette socket at the other end into 12v input of fridge, you might have to swap around to get polarity right, then bingo ! It turned on the 12v function.
Check all fuses including car fuses and use your multimeter lots to check your moves
Good luck!

And. Another option is to get a 12v to 240 volt inverter , I got my fridge to power up with this option as well by plugging in the 240 v cord to the inverter .be sure to check the specs of your inverter to see it has the capacity for your fridge
