Howdy Folks,Im in the market for a caravan,I just missed out on a 2011 Majestic Knight which wouldve suited me perfectly,

I need a light caravan under 2tonne, suitable for a single (tall)man, no bunks, nice size double bed, ensuite and all mod cons, about $25gto spend,

if anyone knows where I could find something like that-Id really appreciate any help

Good luck trying to find a van with all the gear for that price at the moment if you can hang out for 6 to 12 months you will get a bargain when overseas travel starts up

Welcome to G/N's Davo46, As mentioned above you price range will not get a bells and whistles van - Download free purchasing details and check lists at www.caravancouncil.com.au/

G'day Davo46,
Welcome to the forum - firstly.
Secondly get familiar with the various tabs in the forum - the "Search, Advanced Search" tools are worth a look.
Thirdly work out what you want to do, where you want to go with your prospective van & then start looking.

We're a little different to some of the other members where we generally travel with a purpose from A-B, B-C, etc. And we bought a pop-top.
I too am tall (6'6") & see in reports that caravans range in 6'3" to 6'7" - unless you have one made to suite & that could be expensive. Ours has an airconditioner, a split system with the compressor under my bed, the outlet in a cupboard.
The pop-top is well adequate for me to walk around - mostly except I forget with the lid down, I skin my crown on the LED light housings!! The van's ATM is 2 ton but it's a single axle & with the built in ensuite, has a load capacity of 375kg. While it's not perfect (is a Jayco afterall) but it serves our requirements well & has done just over 50,000kms in 4 years. We paid $26,000 for it in 2017. We have single beds but the vans came with either configuration.

The important point after doing your checks & find something suitable is to go over it with a fine toothed comb - underneath & inside. Check the wheels for cracks (in the spokes), uneven tyre wear. If you know of a good mechanic ask him, her to assist.

All the best.
